I don't know what the real name for it is, but I don't say Chapstick because I've never actually had Chapstick brand. We always used Blistex growing up (in the foil tube and it burned your lips and we figured that's because it was working lol). Now I refer to it as "lip stuff." Oh how clever I am lol[/b]
Heather! This cracked me up...thanks for the laugh. Haha...lip stuff!!!

I call it lip stuff too....LOL

What about Pam? Instead of cooking spray. I also use Kleenex. And I always refer to fabric softener sheets as Bounce sheets no matter what kind they are.

Funny... I've noticed that almost all of this is stuff I either never buy, or only buy very rarely. Hmm... I can't think of any others.

Oooh. I thought of a lovely one, and remember I am in NC, tobacco country.

Coppenhagen - long cut smokeless chewing tobacco.

Hmmm....I can't think of any others at the moment.

I thought of Vaseline and Crisco, but those were already mentioned. I call soda, soda. Oh, and I also Chapstick and Kleenex--but I have started saying tissue more often.

That's why I don't look at the price per pound! I love Chapstik! The original pink that comes in the black "tube" is my favorite because it has a very distinct smell that reminds me of my grandfather. (He always had some and it was always the black-tube kind.) I think I've currently got 3 tubes in the house - one on the schoolroom table, one in my purse, and one in the bathroom!!
I love Chapstik! (not Blistex, although they do have a fruit kind that tastes really good!)

Let's see... I'm beginning to think I'm just a generic kind of person

Having never used any sort of fertilizer at all I don't know what I'd call it if I did. Ditto with the Birkenstocks. My mom has Birks but they are actually Birk brand. We call the cooking spray the "oil spray stuff" (see a theme here? I have a lot of "stuff"). Jamie used to call it Pam and for some reason I just can't call it that because it's a person's name. He's moved to oil spray stuff too. I call fabric softener sheets dryer sheets even though I use Bounce and only Bounce (and it has to be the Free kind - any scent or Free kind of any other brand and I get a rash). Never heard of any brand of chewing tobacco so I don't know what I'd call it if I did. I call laundry stain remover Stain Stick which is actually the rest of the name of Spray and Wash Stain Stick. I've had Kool Aid about three times in my life and don't like that sort of thing so I don't call it anything. I'd probably call it all Kool Aid if I did but then I didn't know there were brands other than Kool Aid!

Are there any other brands than Post-Its? My mom calls them Post-a-Notes.

Post Its always makes me think of "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion". I can just hear that slightly sinus-y voice with the valley girl accent... "We invented Post-Its!"

Visine. That one struck me today after my eyes started killing me from the pool water.
