My MIL was just here and while here she aske me if one of the moms from the studio was having another baby..I said yup. Well it's their 8th baby..7th living ( they lost their 3rd child, first boy to anencephaly ).. My MIL went on and on saying she just didn't think ti was right, it's too expensive etc.. seriously why does she care..no one is asking ehr to financially care for these kids.I've known Missy ( the mom) since we were 6 years old.. This is what she has always wanted.. they own a very successful business and even if they didn't...my MIL has no idea how they live so she has no right. What bothers me is she thinks having 2 kids and working 5 jobs is the way to go.. anything more than 2 and anyone not wotking a ton to have everything under the son is just doing it all wrong @@.. She didn't think we should have #3 never mind when we had #4..little does she know we wanted 2 more but the pregnancy with Taejan was too hard I can't do that again.

ARGHHH... anyway I am very happy for Missy and Don..this is a boy and they have 5 girls and one boy now.. they so wanted another boy!

Anyway..why must people put their 2 cents in?And WHY does she say these things to me when she ###### well knows I am friends with Missy??She did this when they had Their now 2 year old too.

I don't know. But it is ridiculous. (People saying stuff like that, not having an 8th baby!)

I guess some people are just opinionated and think their way is the only way. Who knows!! My MIL is on us now to not have anymore kids b/c she only had 2, but I came from a big family and want a whole herd.

You can imagine how I feel about this. Grrr.... It is a terrible shame when people feel entitled to say whatever hurtful, insensitive, and ignorant things they want. I hope I don't turn into somebody like that when I'm a MIL.

I personally couldn't have 8 kids...but if someone else wants to then more power to them. One life is just as precious as another.

Now, if I see someone with 8 kids and they don't take care of their kids, then that is different. But if the kids are loved and cared for - they can have 20 kids for all I care. My great grandmother was pregnant 13 times and 9 of them lived until old age!

Exactly Rebecca.. Heck I get upset at those that have 1 or 2 and don't take care of them.. usually the ones with 6+ are doing a better job then those idiots I know with only 1 or 2..lol

I get comments like that all the time and this is only my 3rd- ppl are alway saying, so you are going to stop now, right?? I'm like no.....! And people say things like better you than me, or I could never handle that many- then the kicker. Well we only wanted to have 1 (or 2) to make sure that we could afford to get them everything they want and need growing up...UM HELLO???

yeah the affording things is the kicker..as long as they have clothes and food and a roof over their head then we're fine.. in fact my kids have TOO much and we are not well off by any means.. I am slowly reducing the amount of stuff they have!

Heather, I heard that when I was pregnant since we had our one-girl-one-boy "perfect" family. I swear I've probably heard them all. I've even had a perfect stranger will standing in line at the Wal-Mart recommend her favorite birth control pill.

I know a woman with five children and they get such crap from complete strangers and then from her mother! The family punishes them for having so many children. What crap! This family is sweet and each child is so NEAT!

I always wanted a lot of kids....and I will love all the children that God wants to give us.

My friend manages a health food store. When she had her third (her first is her husband's bio child and she adopted her so her third was only her second biologically) people started making negative comments to her. When she had her fourth the comments were all the time. Mostly "don't you know what causes that" type. My friend was too nice to say anything but I always thought she should say something smart alecky back. She did eventually start smiling really big and saying "Yes!" when people said that.

I always wanted 4 kids but we are at 3 and holding. I won't be pg ever again but we have discussed adopting. I get crap for just having 3. It is like everyone thinks you are supposed to have the 2.5 kid average. Sorry I had to bring a "whole" other child into that equation. LOL What really pisses me off is I forever get the comment, so are you going to try for a girl again. Well when we tried for #3 we were trying for a baby NOT a girl. A girl would have been icing on the cake sure, but in all honesty I always said I wanted either 3 boys, or 2 boys and a girl, so in the end I got my dream. People just don't seem to get that. They just need to zip it and mind their own business!

I get comments about having 5, but luckily I really couldn't care less what people think. I really don't understand why people think that anything more than 2 kids is "abnormal." THe size of my family feels just right to me.

Oh, I love it when they say "don't you know what causes that". There are at least a dozen good and embarrassing comebacks to that one.
