We're back to school today! Yay!!! Right now the big kids are still sleeping. I think Ani needs to sleep for about a week to catch up. But once they wake up and do miracle music we'll be back to school. We were off all last week and Thursday and Friday the week before since Ani was in Florida and then we were off yesterday since Jamie had off for the holiday. We'll have school today and tomorrow and I'm pretty sure we can Thursday as well. My brother's family is arriving Thursday morning and coming over for lunch and I think we'll be able to finish school before they arrive. We'll be off Friday since my sister and BIL are dropping my nephew off here Thursday night and he's spending the night and we'll be watching him all day Friday. There's no way we'll be able to do school with him here. So, while it's a short week, we're all excited to get back to doing school.

Yay!! I'm getting back to my "lesson" today too! We took off all weekend and Monday, so today I'll see what Eathan feels like doing.

Yep we're back to school too, today. We're just doing reading though. I'm still beat from the weekend so we're just going to do a small reading lesson and I'll probably read some books.

That's great! We're all getting ready to get started back, too. We've been off since April! I've been working on our lesson plans. I have 8 weeks of the core stuff planned & typed out (well 6 weeks for Jared & Justin). I have my basic outline for several of the Konos units: which units we'll do & what activities per unit we want to do. Now I just need to make my daily/weekly plans. That's what I'm waiting for my sister to help me with. Anyway, hopefully it won't be much longer before we can get started.

So far school has been great. Now I'm nursing Fritz to sleep while the big kids paint using string. We still have language arts and science to do. It just so happens that we're in the middle of reading The Apple and the Arrow about William Tell and we just finished the part where William shot the apple on Walter's head. In music we are learning about tempo and one of the songs today was the William Tell Overture so not only did we get to talk about fast tempo, we also got to talk about why the William Tell Overture sounds like it does and how it reminds us of William Tell himself. The kids were as happy to be back to school as I was! And now baby is sleeping so I'd better get back to my big ones
