Mr. Wizard died last week I think it was. He was 89. Anyway, in one of the articles Jamie read it mentioned his website Mr. Wizard Studios. They sell Mr. Wizard DVDs on there. I never saw Mr. Wizard because I am WAY too young for his first show and we didn't have cable so I never saw his Nickelodeon show. Jamie, however, remembers the Nickelodeon show fondly and was so excited to see you could buy the episodes on DVD. I had been thinking about getting Cameron a LeapPad for his birthday (in October), but now we're thinking about getting him some of the Mr. Wizard DVDs. They would be right up his alley. He loves videos and really loves science. The only drawback is he'd probably try to replicate every single one of the experiments...

Dan and I were just fondly remembering Mr. Wizard the other day. We both used to watch his shows when they were on. My kids would probably like them too. I'll have to take a look at the videos for sale. Thanks for letting us know.

I totally remember him on tv! He was the one that taught me you could make secret messages on mirrors with a soapy q tip! Then when the mirror steamed up the message shows!! I'd love to get those just for me!

He died?? I didn't hear about that. Probably because I never watch tv anymore. My DH was just looking for online episodes of his show the other day!

Yup, he died. Jamie read it on fark and then my mom told me my dad heard it on the radio. I don't have a TV and rarely go to news sites because the news tends to be kind of depressing. I'm pretty sure he died last week.
