I used the LifePacs when I was homeschooled. I liked them. They didn't work for Ani, though. She has this thing about finishing workbooks and would finish a whole 1/10 of the school year in less than a week lol

But the price... yeah... that's WAY more than when I bought some. I think they were around $35-40-ish about 2 years ago. The older grades are a bit cheaper than first grade ($50 vs. $70), but the prices are definitely up.

UGH..well that really bites. I love them for Noah.. it has made schooling so much easier for us.. and when they were $40 I felt if I didn't use the entire thing it was "ok" but now at $60+ forget it.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I wonder if they are trying to push people to use Switched on Schoolhouse.

We have SOS too and Noah is liking it for science.. it's the perfect match because I am not a science person and he is...but I refuse to "plug" him in for every subject!

Yeah, being on the computer for every subject would get boring in my opinion. I can't believe the prices went up like that!
Was it really just 40$ only 5 months ago?? That is quite a jump!

Yeah, that's my biggest nay for SOS. I just don't think it's a good idea to have 3rd grade and up on the computer all day long!

where are you buying it from? not from AOP?

WHOA!!! The double subject set for K is 80$!!! But for one it is 41.95$
Maybe the place you are buying it from is charging more?

5th grade is 49$ per subject but 200 something for all 5!
You know, I think the prices did go up b/c I don't remember all this from the catalog!

it's 10 workbooks and the teach pack..and yeah $60 is NUTS.. I have the LA, History and Civics ones for Noah..$41 each.. The LA is perfect for Noah as his main stuff and we add to it as we need.. the History is all US and is t last us 2 years because i have SO much stuff to add to each time and such. the Civics is a perfect elective and Noah will enjoy it, in about a year..LOL

We had various 1st through 3rd level ones and they were all in the $35-40 range (two years ago). They've definitely gone up a lot.
