Sea Monkey's? I think they are like Brine Shrimp or something.. we've done them before when Noah was younger...

We figured it would be nothing like they were advertised. Did the kids like them? What do they do?

What a neat idea with the laminator. I've been going back and forth about getting one b/c I couldn't think of more than a few uses! What a great selling point for DH.

Yes, Sea Monkeys are Brine Shrimp. I hope they enjoy it!! The kids and tadpoles.

Unless you squish melted crayon out on the rollers then dh would probably blow a fuse! LOl I think the biggest 'selling' point is how it keeps cards from being torn or creased up. I have used mine on game cards, game boards, a wheel for a lap book, melted paint kind of by accident (luckly it wasn't enough to squish out) and also for making reusable fun sheets with a white board marker.

I wouldn't tell him the part about it squishing out. He doesn't care if I get one, he just asked what I'm going to do with it and I drew a blank. Now I can show him the art pictures.

That's a lot too, Jo! I'll have to tell DH all of those!

I use it for pictures a lot.. ones I get doubles of for the kids, and all Declan's certificates from Karate, and the hamster derby etc.. the kids reward charts, This year I am going to put all my "stuff" from each field trip on a white sheet and laminate it, punch holes and add it to my portfolio!

I really think that once I got one then I would know what to do with it, kwim? I would be in the moment and not forget about it b/c I didn't have a laminator at the time. I have a list of things I want and paper shredder and laminator are at the top.

Yer maybe not the bit about the paint.

Another carft I did was a reindeer deer hand print place mat. I actualy did these as a end of year craft at our churches play group that I used to run. I found the pattern online someplace. The main face and eyes is cut out from colourd paper that you glue down on some printer card. Thick enough to not let paint or glue through but thin enough to go through a laminator. Makes a more robust placemat then just regular printer paper.
Then your childs hands become the antlers. I got the mums to paint there kids hands and carfuly place them above the raindeers head on the card. I added a round shinny piece of red foil paper for Rudolph's nose. Wrote the kids name and age in a corner then laminated them. Worked great!
