To be able to watch the changes in your kiddo. Declan is painting right now. he's big on colors, primary, hues etc.Anyway he's painting and no longer is he just mixing colors, putting them wherever .. like Jadziah does. No, now he puts single colors on certain spots, usually the enhanced details on the object. I love watching him grow like this. This is one of those perfect moments when I am so glad we have decided to keep our kids home with us. I would not be able to watch this transition if he was stuffed in a classroom all day. I wouldn't be able to hear him talking to the train as he paints it to give to his baby brother, or the butterfly he is making for his sister.. I would miss all these slight little changes..and I am so glad I don't have to miss them!!

Here's some pictures of him painting!

I totally know what you mean! I've loved watching Ani's drawing of people evolve over time. It is so exciting to see how they learn and grow. Just another great thing about homeschooling... we get a front row seat for it all!

Exactly... it's the front row seat I love the most. Plus I highly doubt he'd be chatting up a ceramic train in a classroom..LOL

That's the best part of this journey, to me. He looks so content to sit there with his paints.

Difinatly the best part. Lately Sarah is taken with drawing or painting horses jumping over a fence, and chickens. I should post a picture of this really good chicken she did the other day, I don't think I could draw one as good lol.

OH I love that!!! I definitely think that's a good perk of homeschooling.
