Bad storm {edit}
Well last night my area got hit with a bad storm. It was fairly localized but we sure got hit fast and hard! This is what the local paper said. We had no power for about 7 hours here. The kids flipped..well mostly Declan so when we realized the power was going to be out awhile we took them for a ride. We got to see a LOT of damage. I only got a few pictures though.

This is the hail falling out our front door:

I was JUST about to step outside to get some to show the kids when the billboards that abutt our yard got struck.. I don’t think I have jumped that high in years..scared the crud outta me!

We loaded the kids in to se if we could see where the outtage was..we had no idea it was so wide spread! We saw a lot of tree’s down. on roofs,cars etc.. lots of clumps of leaves everywhere.

Eric took this one.. it was down and covering the opposite lane.. as we pulled away some idiot comes barrelling down the road ( mind you we have no street lights on!!!) and missed plowing into this tree by centimeters!! FOOL:

We saw where the main huge line was down across from my nieces school but we couldn’t get close enough to get a decent picture but the tree was right up ahead from the “School” written on the road.

This one we didn’t realize was ON the line until we drove under it..ack… We got away fast though..lol

the last one we got a decent picture of:

I am glad we finally got power back and didn’t lose any food.. I had JUST gone shopping!! We packed everything in our big chest freezer and that is what saved it all!

OMGoodness. I'm glad you are all OK! Being without power does stink. You don't realize how dependent you are on it until it's gone.
