Okay - I have been feeling pg symptoms all week. Chocked it up to some hormones and baby fever that has NOW PASSED.
Today - (23 days since LMP - not sure when I o'd) I got 2 clear blue easy digital tests. Thought I would take one today for kicks and giggles since it would be too soon to tell. Then take one on the day of my period (before it starts) just to be 100% sure. So I did. Fully expecting it to be not pregnant. IT SAID PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, No congrats yet. I feel pregnant, but we did nothing different. We didn't TTC. We had sex twice with a condom at the end. I know you can get pregnant by pre-cum BUT we have done it this way for 4 years and did NOT get preg!
Now the kicker....I freaked out for a good 20 minutes or so. Then I forced myself to urinate a very small amount and tested with the second test. This time, I got a NOT PREGNANT! Okay, WTH??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????
I don't know...it's easy to get a false negative...but there aren't many things that will produce a false positive. Maybe you didn't have enough pee for the second test to register and also maybe because you're still a few days away from getting AF it's tougher to get a definite positive?
I'd get a couple more tests (maybe some different brands) and try first thing in the morning (they say that's the best time to test).
So...ummm...congratulations and update us in the morning!

OHHHHHHHMMMMMMMGGGGGGoodness!!!! I know that those tests are more likely to give a false negative before a false positive. I'm thinking along the same lines as Jenn. Maybe there wasn't enough urine for the second one. I would get another and try first thing in the morning. If that joker is positive, than you are PREGGERS!!! Maybe God has other plans for you, girl.
I'd say... you are in fact pregnant! False negatives are WAY more common than false positives. In order to register as pregnant you need a certain concentration of HcG in your urine. It is very, very likely that because you had recently peed there just wasn't enough HcG to register on the second test.

Well, here's my take on it. My sis is a lab tech and she told me years ago that false negatives are fairly common, but false positives...not so much. HOWEVER, I have heard of false positives with the digital tests. IMO, I would get a different kind of test (not digital....First Response is supposed to be real good and can be used up to 5 days before af) and test first thing in the morning. First thing in the morning is the best time to test because that's your highest concentration of HcG.
Congratulations either way!

I would suggest pretty much the same thing. Use FMU to test and a non-digital test. Here is a chart that shows the more sensitive (the lower the number the more sensitive): http://www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html
If you have a dollar store you can get some from there. They are sensitive and only $1.
