We are leaving for vacation tomorrow...five nights in Dallas/Forth Worth/Arlington. We must be completely crazy for going in the dead of summer like this, but have no choice because Six Flags does not open during the week after school starts back there. I refuse to wait until Sept., when we usually go on vacation, and have to go on a weekend. We have only taken our kids to Six Flags once...when it was still in New Orleans and they were very young, so they really want to go to this on in Texas. We have LOTS of other stuff planned besides Six Flags, a lot of it indoors, so I know it will be fine. I have a big notebook full of fun things to do...we are so excited!!!!!! I have most everything packed, but we will have to wait for Jeff to finish with his work and home health patients before we can leave. The kids had a hard time falling asleep tonight..I love it . I'm not sure if I am taking my laptop or not, but will have lots of pics when I get back ....if we don't melt over there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eh, it'll be fine! Yeah, it's going to be hot, but the great thing about going when you're going is that most of the schools are probably back in session, so you won't have to wait in hardly any lines at all. Troy and I went there for our 1st anniversary trip (10 years ago!!) at almost this exact time and it was great.
Have fun!!

Jamie was in Dallas last week. It was HOTTER here in VA the whole week long! It sounds like you guys are getting our nasty hot weather from last week now, so you may be surprised to find Dallas is nicer right now.

Have fun, Sherrie! I wish I lived closer to Dallas! I'd love to meet up with you. The heat has really not been bad at all this year! We're forcasted for the 80's this weekend actually. That's practically unheard of in August!! The only thing I would worry about is that tropical storm/depression that's moving through. Most of Texas is forcasted for rain all weekend. I hope it's nice for ya'll, though. Have a great time!
