Do they drive you crazy sometimes like they do me? Like the one about the dad being SO excited to get rid of his kids and them sulking down the isle of the store? The music is playing "Its the most wonderful time of the year". There is a radio commercial where the girl says "Its important for you mom to save money and for me to look cool, that's what school is all about. Oh and the classes and stuff too I guess." They just drive me crazy. Anyone else?

Lol well it isn't back to school here at the moment, but when it is...yer I am sure someone will put on some sickening add. Lol that one is a doozy! "For me to look cool"
The only one over here that sticks in my mind is the prep one. They re-named preschool 'prep' and made it all day instead of half day. Kind of like your Kindergarten. So on that add there are two mothers drinking coffee while the kids play and they are laughing about how good prep will be and one says "And now Johnny can be a rocket scientist"! As if all day school at 4 is going to be the difference between Johnny becoming a rocket scientist or a garbage man.

I haven't noticed. That's what our DVR is for. I get to skip the commercials!

That is TERRIBLE! Ugh. We also have all the commercials about how stores will donate to the school of your choice if you buy certain items or save milk lids. So our schools are SO good that we need to dump not only your tax dollars in, but any other money you have to spare and then your kids will STILL be behind. Uh, hum...

I know what you mean. the on that gets me is the little girl who chases these intials around the school, like CM+JM. Every time she covers one she sees another. It ends with her sliding across a lunch table and coming almost nose to nose with the boy (JM). The last statement is "Maybe today is the day to get up the nerve.", or something like that. It is so ridiculous I can't even remember what the product is they are advertising. Anyway I know what you mean.

The one that really, really bothers me, and on more than just a "back to school, get rid of the kids" level, is one for Burlington Coat Factory where the middle school girl narrator is saying something along the lines of "The (blank...I can't remember) are hot, the __________ are hot, the chess club is hot, even our GEEKS are hot!" and it shows all these kids in the lunchroom, showing off their clothes. Then the adult narrator says "EVERYONE can be hot for back to school if you come to Burlington Coat Factory!" (or something like that!) Ummmm, yeah, I want my middle schooler focusing on how HOT he or she can be for back to school! It makes me nauseous...

Lol yuck. Well you know why, it's because they know they can't motivate the kids with "school is fun" anymore, so then they turn to how hot the boys are. I mean isn't that what school is for, to meet hot boys?
Just imagine if the adds vocused on *gasp* learning.

Um I think the commercial is aimed at the kids not the parents. They figure if kids think there stuff is cool or hot that they will bug their parents for it. I mean how many parents would want there kids to look hot.
