We had a blast. Pool party for 11, or so, kids, most under the age of 6. Let me just say I was tired by the time all was done. LOL Here is a link. Oh, and Jo let me know if these are small too. I am not sure why the others were doing that to you, bc they aren't that little when I view them from the link. Wierd. Party Pics

Oh I like that whale cake, cute idea with it being half submerged! Looks like they had a blast.
The pics are still small but at least this time the album downloaded for me. Lat time with the monkey cake it was just one pic over to the left.

The pictures on the link are small, but each one can be clicked to see a bigger version. The whale cake is awesome!

Great job! The whale cake is too cute. So, how'd you do it? (In case I need to know for future reference. )

I baked a yellow cake in a small mixing bowl. It took about half the box of cake mix. The tale was cut out of cardboard. Then I just covered both in butter cream and then the fondant. That was an experience. I made homemade fondant, and had never even worked with the premade stuff before. Much easier than I thought it would be though. After that I just laid the head on the sheet cake and went back around the edge with blue icing, just to fill in holes. Stuck in the tale and placed 3 dowel underneath to support it. It was a lot of fun. I get to make a cake for my mom's 50th next week. I am really looking forward to it, it is going to be a blast since I have free reign. Thanks so much for looking. I love doing this stuff and the compliments are just a bonus.
