I signed Belle up for soccer on Friday the 17th. Patty, the lady who registered her, is very nice. We have known her for a few years from Belle doing activities. Anyway, Patty told me that soccer "doesn't start this Monday, but next Monday." So I say "the 27th." And she says "yup, the 27th." I wrote it down on my copy of the registration. She told me that the schedule would be ready on Monday (20th) and to call this week to find out which team Belle is on. And that the schedule would be on the internet starting the 20th. Before I left I went over the info I had written down "call you next week for the team, buy some shin guards, and _____ is the website with the schedule." She confirms. So today I went online to see the schedule for Belle's age group even though I didn't know which team she would be on...I was about to call them. I saw that all the teams her age group had played on the 20th!!!!!!!!!! AH!!!! So Belle missed her first day. And she was soooo looking forward to it. And I am paying for it! I call the rec to find out which team she is on...and Patty answers. I gently reminded her that she told me it started on the 27th she says "oh, we must have had a misunderstanding. It did start this Monday."
Belle has been upset all morning now because of it! I know it isn't a huge thing in the realms of life, but still she is my baby and she is sad about it! And we were told the wrong information, so it wasn't our fault we missed it!

I'd talk to her supervisor and politely but firmly request a prorated amount for the missed day. I'm sorry Belle is so sad.

A few years back I had Eli all registered for soccer and they were supposed to do the same things. Well...a few weeks after they were to call I call them...and they were well into the season. I was so MAD! I got a full refund...but had still bought all the things he needed. He hadn't been assigned a team or anything! UGH!
