Ok so I am officially sick and tired of this rain!! My kids have been going absolutely loopy, due to the fact that I am not allowing them out in it as it is still really the end of winter and it's too cold to get wet. I let them out one afternoon this week as it was starting to dry and some sun came out. They got there clothes all muddy and I gave them a bath after and that was ok...once lol. Soon as I think it has stoped, it rains again. Like now, it is 8am and still raining.

Dh brought them presents home last night, lol what excitement! Sarah got a Dora magazine with a pc game, a game called helter Skelter that we played last night, a jigsaw puzzle, which we will do today. Ds has some new little cars and this giggle ball. I also broke out one of my Christmas stocking dvd's 'Robots' lol.

My house looks like a bomb site, and the entire front entry area has this cubby with 'beds' have I ever told you we have a big glass slider at the front and customers come there.....

On a better note Sarah has really gotten into doing her MUS pages lately. She did 6 yesterday and only stoped because we are up to lesson 9 which looks a bit different so I want us to watch the dvd first. She is starting to count really fast, although sometimes I have to slow her down as she can skip one. Also she is starting to get 7 and 8 and 9 sometimes without counting along the number line.

Lol what a novel. So what is happening at your house this week?

My house is a bomb site too! I have had company in and out for about a month now and I haven't had the time to really clean the house. Today was the first day we didn't have anyone staying the night or visiting! I enjoyed having everyone, but I like my house to myself. The weather was actually nice here and the boys played outside mostly with DH. It was quiet in the house for a couple of hours. I'm just whooped from entertaining to do anything! I'm hoping for things to get back to normal tomorrow.

OH and did I tell you guys we may be moving? We are in the in the beginning stages and figure it will take up to a year. We are going to move to a rural area and get some land. We are looking at 16 acres right now. Also, my parents will move to this same area so I will be closer to my Mom. We have friends up there as well (who are like family) which will be really nice!!! I'm actually a little overwhelmed by it all at the moment and I'm taking a few days off of planning.

As far as school goes....Eathan of course was not interested while we had all of this company in and out. He would do a little here and there, but as far as actual "school" it has been non-existent. We have just been living life. It has been nice though b/c while my Aunt was staying her daughter is 10 and she loves playing school with Eathan and she taught Eathan to count backwards from 5 down. I was rather impressed. I can't get the child to count over 10, but she got him to count backwards from 5.

Wow moving, that is a surprise! Especially after you just found a hs group. Although if it takes a year I guess that still leaves you plenty of time. We live in a country town, kind of on the outskirts so it is rural but we just have a largish house block. I have always lived semi rural so living in a flat with dh was a bit of a shock at first, so when we bought this house I was very glad to see trees and bushes and a high fence lol. My parents moved here a good 6 months ago at least now and I am so glad to have them near by.

That's funny about the backwards counting. Sarah can't do that yet. I don't think she can see the point so why learn it lol. Eathan is one clever little guy!

He's such a crazy kid!! I think he knows it mainly by memory and doesn't necessarily understand he is doing a count down, kwim?

We are thinking it should take at least a year for a job to come open for DH and finding the property a house, etc. It's a big step for me. I'm within 10-15 min of anywhere I want to be and I grew up that way. I'm pretty spoiled. It's going to be hard for me to be 30 min to a grocery store.

We were having rain for a few days but it seems things are starting to dry out and are looking very green. I've been rearranging furniture the last couple days. I can never keep my house one way. I have to rearrange every once in a while to keep it interesting. Fritz hit a growth spurt and was really fussy (for him which isn't very fussy at all) for a few days and yesterday I weighed him and in the last 6 weeks he gained 10 ounces (he had gained 1 ounce the month before). He's 21 1/2 pounds now. He's huge compared to my others. Ani wasn't 21 1/2 pounds until near 3. AF showed up yesterday for the first time since I had Fritz. So we can try for baby #4 now. Oh, did I mention we're doing interviews for a Washingtonian Magazine article? It's on having a larger family. Apparently just 3 kids is "larger" for the DC Metro area lol

Lol Stacy, sending you the rain... and the cold wind that comes with it! Don't complain now.

Heather I can never get over how light Ani is. Picking my kids up is like picking up boulders. Both of them were about 21 1/2 lb at 9 months. I have no idea how much they weigh now, the last time I got them weighed and the pounds writen down was Sarah at 21 months, she was 30lb.

Ugh, the weather! At the beginning of this week, it rained and rained. Now, it has stopped raining, but the heat and humidity are terrible...you don't want to be outside. My house is also looks like a bomb went off, but onlu because I've been too lazy to clean it. Nothing special going on this week...I just have to get the house cleaned before DH comes home on Sun....he'll throw a fit.

Jo, I weighed and measured Ani a few days ago when she turned 7 1/2 and she is 45" and 41 pounds. Cameron's about an inch shorter and weighs about the same. They are real lightweights. We got Ani some new clothes for the fall and she needs size 6 because she has long legs but she needs a belt because her waist fits size 3!

LOL Jo. That is the only thing I dread about our approaching winter, the cold wind. We don't get snow, etc just cold wind, and usually rain. I totally understand your complaint/dilemma, but rain just sounds glorious to me right now.

I was on the phone with an old friend the other day and she was driving home from work. She very hurriedly got off the phone, which I found odd bc she was driving in the car alone. Well she called back about 15 minutes late, and said she had actually watched a brush fire start on the side of the highway. She hung up with me so she could dial 911. Crazy, scary stuff to me bc we don't suffer from fires like that in my area often. Anyway just thought I would share an interesting moment for me.

We've had a pretty wet summer in comparison to how our summers usually are. Usually we're in the 100's & working on drought by May. I think it's only hit 100 degree weather 1 or 2 weeks this whole summer, and that's just been recently. It's been a nice change. My sister was on a Caribbean Cruise (Jamaica & the Grand Cayman Islands) just ahead of Hurricane Dean! It was right on their tails. They just made it out of Jamaica when it was hit.

As for what we've got going here this week/weekend, Jared will be turning 6 tomorrow! I have to make his cake tonight. I've already started on it, but haven't gotten as far as I wanted. I wanted to have the cake baked & the first layer of frosting on yesterday. I got it baked. That's it. I have alot to do on it today. I'll probably finish it tonight. Jared wants to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for his birthday. No surprise there. So we'll be at Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch & play time tomorrow and come home for dinner, cake & ice cream. Oooh! That's reminds me, I need to get the ice cream. I'll post pics of the cake when I'm done. It's going to be a dinosaur theme with a volcano.

We had to take cover in the basement twice yesterday because of the storms. The poor kids were very nervous. This morning we found the lake behind the house completely flooded over and our yard is saturated, but luckily no water in the basement this time. It has been raining for at least a week straight. Any more and we will have to start building an ark.

I know it is so sad some of the areas here that are being flooded, and then N. Carolinians just praying for a few drops of the stuff. Mother Nature can be quite the fickle one.

Heather that must make it very hard to get pants. My kids have quite slim waists so I try to always buy ajustable waists. Twice now I have bought Sarah a skirt without one and been sorry for it as I have to tell her to keep hitching it up. Lol one good tug and she would be just in her undies.

Jen that cake sounds great. I can't wait to see the photos.!

Wow some of you have had much more wild sounding weather then us!

I'm procrastinating! I should be in there working on it right now, but I keep finding reasons to put it off. I don't know why. I always enjoy it once I get started. I think it's because it's totally coming out of my head. Usually I have something to look at & guide me. But this time, it's just whatever I come up with.
