Today we were at the library (again!) and I got in trouble with the librarian. She said I have over 40 books checked out! I guess that's not allowed. They're not overdue or anything, but I guess I'll have to bring some back.

LOL! That's too funny! And, WOW, that's a lot of books!

One would think that the person who would get in trouble would be the librarian who kept letting you check them out!! I think our library has a 99 book limit, although we've never gone that high.

I have read of homeschoolers taking out 60+ books at a time. I can't imagine. I mean where do they keep them??

We have taken out over 50 at a time before. We had to use two of our cards (there is a 50 limit at a time per card). We have a shelf where library books go while they are not being read. It makes it easy to get them in the tote bag to take them back. But, don't you think if you had "too many" checked out they wouldn't (or rather shouldn't) have let you check out that many in the first place?

Yeah, I would think they would have stopped you before they let you check out too many. I asked how many we could check out at one time and they said as many as we wanted, so I guess that's a plus.

Wow! That's alot of books! I would also think the librarian would have "caught it" before letting you check out that many if they have a limit. I have no idea what the limit is at our library. I've never asked.

She said our limit is only 20 books per card! We do have a very small library with a small selection of kids books so maybe they're worried I'm going to take them all! The 40+ books were checked out over a few different trips. But they didn't want to make the kids put back their books, so they just go ahead and let us take them all. Oh well, good to know for next time I guess.

We have a limit of 12 books per card. It usually isn't a big deal for us since our library is less than 2 miles away. I am bad about losing library books so it is probably a good thing for me!!

Wow. I have no idea what our limit on our card is. I have never thought to ask either. I guess I haven't reached it yet!

Sorry, I know it wasn't funny at the time... I have no idea what the limit is at our library either. We usually take out 15 or so at a time, and all but 1 or 2 are usually kids' books. The librarian is forever asking my daughter if she's leaving any books for anyone else. I can just SO see this happening to us someday!

I discovered yesterday that our "hold" limit is 25 books per card. So there's 25 books on hold on Ani's card and 8 books on hold on mine. About half the books are for me and half are for Ani.

I think our limit is 30...but can't really say for sure. I don't think we have ever been over 15...
