Here are a couple views of the cake. The lava was supposed to be bright red, but it ended up being really dark. I wasn't too happy about that. But I decided it could just be molten lava. Jared didn't seem to mind.




I like this top view because you can really see the grass detail.


And my sweet 6 year old! I can't believe my baby is 6!!

Thanks! Oh, and by the way, just thought I'd point out that the volcano is actually cake, not a plastic toy like the dinos. I baked that part in a stainless mixing bowl that I have and then just carved it to look the way I wanted it to.

With my boys, it's all about the cake. Jack told me this morning, "I know why your cakes always taste so good. It's because YOU make them." I've been telling them my secret ingredient is a whole lot of TLC.
