Remember that annoying article from the website that Jo sent us all to last week? Where they used the word "avail" about a million times?

THEY CHANGED THE ARTICLE!!!! I had written an email to them (I think Jenn did, too) and got a couple of emails back, one thanking me for pointing out the "errors" and another saying that they made some changes AND THEY HAD!!

Here's a link to The New Article. It's still not perfect, but it's certainly better and I'm excited that they listened somewhat!

I'm surprised they changed it. Too bad they are still WRONG in thinking you have to follow a set curriculum according to school district standards.

That's so funny that they actually kind of listened and added a disclaimer at the beginning. I also noticed there wasn't one "avail" this time.

Lisa,
You got a response back from them? I never did. I wonder if they got my email. (I've had trouble with some of my emails getting lost in cyber-space.)

Yeah, I was surprised that they went back and removed all the "avails"!

Yes, I heard back from one person within probably 24 hours and then the next email came a few days after that. I was surprised, actually, because I thought they'd just completely write me off!

Wow, goodonya Lisa! That first part is still as wrong and as annoying as ever but at least those avails are gone!

But, now, I was really thinking of availing myself of homeschooling because of them... ('course I'm not really sure quite what that means...)

ROFL! I'm going to have to find out how many times I can avail of that word in everyday conversation!
