The boys are at the beach with Omi. Their Great Aunt Susie and cousin Bentley are down visiting from Rockland, MA. Well I am relishing in the the fact that we homeschool. If we didn't they would already be stuck in the classroom this week and would have missed this opportunity. They also got to see what a jellyfish sting is like! Sick thing to be excited over I know but Omi got stung by one this morning. I thought it was pretty cool that the kids were there and got to see it was no big deal. Omi's leg hurts a bit of course but she is right back in the water. Just another thing they would have missed had they been at school. Don't think Omi was happy about the experience though.
Isn't that great! I love that my kids can go places and do things with family that they wouldn't get to do if they were in school.

That's so great! I love the flexibility that homeschooling gives us. I have to say though, that your boys seem to have had a better 1st experience with a jellyfish sting than I did. I was probably about 5 or 6 years old when we went to the coast in Corpus Christy. The first day we were there we went to the beach and before we ever got in the water we saw a little girl who had just been stung by a jellyfish. She was probably my age (5 or 6) and she was freaking out! Needless to say, it scarred me for life. I'm still terrified of the ocean. (Of course, the movie JAWS probably didn't help! )
Glad your boys are having a good time.
Happy Homeschooling Mom to:
very cool! Yup..I am really really loving this lifestyle.. I stopped last night and realized that if we had not made this life choice Declan would be starting Kindergarten on Tuesday! Besides the fact he'd be bored to death , I am so glad he's not going to be gone for 8 hours a day!!
