Hey ladies!!! We are doing well. Things got really crazy with preterm contrax. But all is settled down now.

We have our books and are doing great! Jay does some work from either his Explode the Code or Horizons Math book every day. But most of what we do is on our own.

We have done Congestive Heart Failure with Daddy while helping him work on his med school presentation. He helped pick the smilies and listened eagerly to the presentation numerous times!

He worked on his hometown and can identify when he gets from Shreveport to Bossier City as well as how to get home by landmarks. He generally knows the way, but I hope he doesn't get lost! lol

He made a map of the house with me. And helped me place windows, doors, furniture etc.

He also has been practicing his letter writing and some spelling by sounding words out. We definately have a long way to go on this! He is really obstinate about it. But is proud when he gets it right!

We even did some ven diagrams today with the same and different things. (This is for his math)

He is learning how to write his numbers and we are practicing how that relates to the numbers on a clock.

All in all he is doing really well! We don't do a lot. Maybe 30 min. of sit down and then practicing and chatting about stuff throughout the day. Anything that comes up, we work with! He really doesn't get the concept of measurement yet (he is only five) but we do work with that in cooking and he enjoys it!

Oh, and just a little tip.....keep an eye on the 18mth old. Yeah, they like to "help" with everything! Especially markers and coloring on the floor and paint and the pretty rug. Our pretty blue floral rug is now half neon pink.

Melissa, glad things are going well! I can't believe how big your boys are getting! Not much longer to go now with Cady! Take it easy and be sure to post when she comes!
