I made an Australian Damper tonight! It was yummy! I was looking for a quick bread to make with dinner and ran across it on my favorite recipe site. It had chives, garlic, and cheese in it. Mmmm....mmmmm.....good! Thought of you as I was putting it together tonight. Reminds me a bit of Irish Soda bread, and I loved that you could add anything to it.

oh cool. I haven’t made damper in years, I think going back to camp as a teenager lol. The original was plain and done in a camp fire. My dad use to make it when he was young and travelling around, but he would twist it around a stick and cook it over the fire. It is definitely something I will do with the kids when they are a bit older.

I think I am going to try it when we camp next time. It was yummy in the oven though. Went great with the Spinach Parm Chicken we had.
