Wish me/us luck! I have to get this world culture class off of the ground, do a craft time and start a book club for the K-3rd graders. I think I may be crazy by the time I get back here today. LOL

I honestly did. I am really surprised bc to be honest I was only doing this bc Talen wanted it. That meant I had to organize the younger kids bc no one else was stepping forward to do it. I did have fun though and am glad I did it now. We made Schultutes for Craft and they thought they were nifty. Our world culture class was on Germany today so it tied into that. Anyway good day today.

A Schultute is a cone filled with goodies, sweets, pencils, small toys, etc. It is traditionally given to a first grader on their first day of school. Here is a link for some pics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schult%C3%BCte

Glad ya'll had a good day. That custom is so interesting! Jack is doing a country/culture study this year in geography so things like that catch my attention. Thanks for sharing it with us.
