1. Name one of your biggest goals that you have set for yourself...long term or short term.

2. Do you feel that there were things that happened during your childhood that significantly shaped who you are?

3. Do you have a career that you have put aside to homeschool and will most likely one day pick up again?

1. To get all our Christmas presents done sometime before Christmas.
2. Probably. We're all shaped by our childhoods.
3. Nope. I suppose technically since I became an RN, but I never intended to really work as a nurse. I always intended to be a SAHM and if I can help it I will never work again.

Mainly live a healthy lifestyle & be a good example to my kids. I'm working on it.

2. Do you feel that there were things that happened during your childhood that significantly shaped who you are?
Oh, absolutely! The death of my mother, and then the re-marriage between my dad & step-mother greatly influenced who I am today.

3. Do you have a career that you have put aside to homeschool and will most likely one day pick up again?
Nope. My ultimate desire in life was to be a wife & mother. I always knew that I wanted to be a SAHW/M. I haven't worked since right after I got married.

To one day get my BFA with an emphasis on painting and drawing.

2. Do you feel that there were things that happened during your childhood that significantly shaped who you are?
Absolutely, abuse and the positive of being homeschooled and also coming from a large family and having a weird disease as a kid, lots of things for me.

3. Do you have a career that you have put aside to homeschool and will most likely one day pick up again?
My career as an artist, I still paint as much as possible, but it is really hard with little ones.

1. Name one of your biggest goals that you have set for yourself...long term or short term. I would really like to lose about 75 lbs. I'm not going to do any fad diets. Just good ol healthy eating and exercise.

2. Do you feel that there were things that happened during your childhood that significantly shaped who you are? Absolutely!!

3. Do you have a career that you have put aside to homeschool and will most likely one day pick up again? nope. I have no plans to ever go back to work. I worked for the phone company and was laid off the day before my wedding. Funny how things work out. I got a part time job when Eathan was 6 mos old and I knew right then that I would always be a SAHM/W.

1. Name one of your biggest goals that you have set for yourself...long term or short term.
**One major goal is to finish my novel. If I get it published, that would be great, but just to finish it would make me feel like I have accomplished something.

2. Do you feel that there were things that happened during your childhood that significantly shaped who you are?
**Without a doubt, I do! Due to some circumstances in my mother's life, she never was able to bond with my twin sister and me the way she did with our older sister. Although I think that I was born with OCD, I believe that it was made worse by the fact that I maybe felt the need to be perfect...or better....to gain more attention from her. Although my self esteem is good now...and has been since around high school.....it wasn't always. I know it's because my good qualities and strengths weren't encouraged and praised enough by my mother. She wasn't so much mean to Vicki and me, but it was just always obvious that we were second best to our older sister. Thank God for our wonderful, amazing dad who has always loved us with 110% of himself. He is the one who inspired me and encouraged me in everything that I did. I beleive to this day that the he is the reason that I have such a wonderful, perfect husband now.....because I sought out, without even realizing it, someone like my dad.
Of course, the death of my mother further molded me...who I am. Even though I didn't have the relationship with her that I desired, I still had the hope that I one day could. Even without the close relationship, she was my mother....she took care of me when I was sick.....took my side when friends did me wrong.....made my birthday cakes....taught me to crochet....etc. She was still able to fill a part of my life that no one has been able to....has even tried to. This has created a sort of neediness and longing in me that most certainly has molded who I am. There's no way to describe how it feels to be motherless unless you have been there. I think it has made me stronger mother, as if I try to give more than I should so that my children will always have enough of me....will always feel mother enough....will never look back and doubt my love and devotion to them.
Wow......I guess I spilled a lot about myself there didn't I?

3. Do you have a career that you have put aside to homeschool and will most likely one day pick up again?
**Yes, I did set aside my career as an Occupational Therapist. Yes, I'm sure that I will pick it back up again one day. I went to work some when all three of the kids were in school and found that I was still able to do the job....like riding a bike. I guess if I keep up my continuing ed. and all, I should be able to fall back into it in some setting or another. It's not something that I am longing to do now...I don't miss it or anything. However, I put so much of myself into becoming an OT that I can't imagine not going back to it. Plus, we will have three children to put through college...I'm sure we could use the money!

1. Name one of your biggest goals that you have set for yourself...long term or short term. To try and loose weight and live a healthier lifestyle and eat less junk food.

2. Do you feel that there were things that happened during your childhood that significantly shaped who you are?
Yes. When I was 2 I was put on long term medication which adversely effected my personality and learning ability in school, plus I know my condition caused a lot of self esteem problems.

3. Do you have a career that you have put aside to homeschool and will most likely one day pick up again? No. I had a few jobs but never a career. I always wanted to be a SAHM from about 15, and a homeschooling mum from about 20. I just had a long wait!
