I went to my 41 week appointment on Tuesday the 3rd. I was 3cm and they went a head a scheduled an induction for the next morning. I didn't really want to be induced but at that point I was ready to not be pregnant anymore.
That night DH and I took Ben to my parent's house so we wouldn't have to wake him in the morning. We got ready to leave there and just as we were walking out the door my water broke! I was so happy!
We went home because I didn't have any contractions right away. We took care of a few things and I showered. Contractions started and were 6 minutes apart. The Dr said to head in and by the time we were on our way they were 3 minutes apart. We got the hospital a little after midnight.
They got us all settled in and hooked up to the monitors. I was 4 cm then. After a while I went a head and go the epidural. My contractions were almost non stop just like it happened with DS. After the epi was in I felt great. I even dozed off for a bit. Around 4:15 they checked me and I was 7 cm. We called my mom and told her to head in. Just about 4:40 I started feeling more pain and pressure so the nurse checked again. I was complete. I had gone from 7 to 10 in about half an hour! They got everything ready and I began to push. A little less than 20 minutes of pushing and she was out.
Everyone was completely shocked that she was so big! I thought she'd be around 8 1/2 lbs but she was 9lbs 12oz! Then the nurses were shocked that I pushed her out so fast with her being so big. My nurse told me I was her hero!
She is beautiful and I'm so happy to have my baby girl. DS hasn't been able to meet her yet because the hospital won't let anyone under 18 in to visit because of the swine flu.

Aww great story!!! Sounds like everything went really good! I cant wait to see pics of her and Ben together
It seems like bigger babies can be easier to push out, Mikaela was a little easier than Dylan, plus she was literally kicking all the way out LOL. After I had her the nurse said "Girl, you were meant to have babies!" & I then proceeded to give her a Go to H>ll look & told my mom to make her leave, ahaha...
Anyway, Jillian is super cute & I'll be glad when she gets to go home with you!!! Congrats again!!!!!!!

Awesome birth story!! Isn't it easier the 2nd time around? I can't believe how big Jillian was-- especially since she was a girl, and girls are usually smaller. Sounds like your 2nd birth and mine were similar in the fact that we got them out quickly! With Alex, he was 10lbs 1oz, and I pushed him out in 4 pushes (7 minutes). Craziness!
Congrats again. How's the BFing going for you this time around? Easier I hope?

Amie, the BF is going really well. She has a great latch and my milk came in yesterday which was good. We needed to get her all flushed out to get rid of the jaundice so my milk came at a good time.

I want to start by saying I totally went to the sibling forum for this and was like "Susan told me she posted it!" lol, but thankfully it wasn't like lost to the 2nd page or anything.
Oh my gosh though, Ben couldn't see her in the hospital . That'd be so sad! He must have missed you so much! Congrats again Susan!
