A little nervous but yeah, more sad than nervous. Very sad about the 5th birthday coming up... I think I'll be crying that day for sure.

Sad and nervous, too. And about the birthday, too! How are we halfway where already?! I dunno what I'll do when he goes to school all day. I was nervous when he started preschool too and he adjusted to that fairly quick.

OMG Stop talking about them turning 5! LOL I can't stand the thought! I cry when I think about it! I'm just not ready! If I set the calendar on my pc back, will they not age? To me, Em is still 3 and my little baby. It doesn't help that she doesn't want to go to school either. Every time it's mentioned she says she's not going! I know that she'll love it once she goes but it kills me to think of it! I want my baby to stay home! She's just my little buddy and I'm going to miss her!
I do admit I'm looking forward to some one on one time with Abby. It's harder to have alone time with her because she goes to bed earlier or at the same time as Em and she naps during the day, where Emily no longer does. I know Abby is going to miss Emily insanely though! Kayla only went 1/2 day in Kindergarten and Emily will go a full day.

Well since Ben goes to preschool every day for 2 1/2 hours it won't be quite as much of a shock to me except that he'll go all day.

He absolutely loves school and gets mad on the weekends when he can't go. He's a very social kid so it's been great for him to have the other kids to play with and he loves to learn. So I'm looking forward to next year in some ways because I have a feeling he'll really love it.

It'll be hard to be away from him all day but it helps knowing that he'll be happy.

Joel currently goes to school 5 days a week. Two days to the speech preschool and 3 days to regular preschool. So, being gone for 5 days a week will not be different. I am worried about Joel though. First, the speech. It has improved TONS since he started, but the older he gets, the more obvious the differences are. 2nd, his eyes. He will most likely get glasses in January (after the collarbone incident, I will be begging the eye doctor!!!) so we have that to contend with. 3rd, the academics. He is REALLY smart, but different than Sarah was. She was reading quite well by the time she started and picked up things very quickly. He isn't reading and hardly knows the letter sounds, but he knows numbers WAYYYY better than Sarah did. And socially, I always worry. I hope he does well and makes friends. School is stressful for everyone!

That's true! There's nothing saying you can't put another year in between! It won't hurt anything in the long run.

I wasn't nervous with Courtney, I did have a little of the sad all are mentioning. So far I have none of that with Rock, he'll have 3 little siblings by then, so it isn't like my baby is going away...

However, he doesn't want to go. He tells me that every time I talk to him about it, and that's the nerves. Rock only goes to Preschool 3 days a week, and well Kindergarten will be all day every day, not just a half day and not just 3 days, so it'll be a big change.
