Tonight is Raleighs sleep study!! we have to be there at 7 and i have no idea what time we leave the next day. I do know that she will be covered in wires and those sticky things so i know she will probably not sleep well if she does at all..soo ill be exhausted the next day and plan on catching up on sleep since Morgan will be home. Anyways wish us luck! We have gone through he*ll and back these last four and half years and today is FINALLY the day where we will do the sleep study and hopefully figure out what is going on with her. I was told we will have results back in about two to three weeks. I am not looking forward to seeing my baby with the wires all over her and i know its not a huge deal but it makes me sad to think about how tonight will go since i know her so well and i know she is going to freak out over this. This is going to be a big thing for her. I will update and let you all know how it went within the next couple of days.

I don't understand how they do a "sleep study" with wires all over and then no one sleeps. I hope things go way better than you expect and you finally get some answers! Good thoughts for Raleigh tonight!

I hope it goes well. I don't know if they do anything differently for her age but I have a friend who recently had to take her 16 year old for a sleep study. There were a lot of wires and suction cup things. He was able to get some sleep though.

Let us know how it all goes!

Last night went ok, we survived! It sucked because it was SO uncomfortable for me and it killed me to see my baby crying and upset. I believe they said she had 26 wires from head to toe and they ended up wrapping her head because they didnt want them to fall out. She cried a couple of times and had one freak out because she did not like the nose thing they had to use for oxygen but other then that she did great. She fell asleep and woke up every 30 minutes or so as usual. I am so happy it is done and in the past and we go back in 6 weeks for our results which sucks because i was told it would only take 2-3 weeks but hey we have waited 4 and half years so what difference will 6 weeks make! The nurse she had told me she is surprised we have survived this long with as much as she wakes up at night and how hard it is to get her to sleep, lol. I am glad someone else got to finally see what we go through every single night, it was nice hearing that everything will be ok eventually and to just keep hanging on like i have.

i took a couple of pictures of her

finally asleep!

she was excited to show off her prizes she got for being so good

Oh my gosh! That poor baby! I'm glad it's over for her! I can't imagine trying to sleep like that! Do they have any idea as to why she wakes like that or what it is they think they might find?

Paula we should find something out when we go back in six weeks. I really do not know what it could be because they cant really tell us anything until other people go over it as well so six weeks and we should have answers. *fingers crossed*

it really made me sad to see her like that but yes i am SO happy it is done and in the past and now we can hopefully find something out and move on in life.

Poor baby. I know I wouldn't want to sleep like that. At least it looks like they gave her a comfy bed. I'm glad it's over and done with and I hope you get some good answers.

Have they done an Autism screening on her? I only ask because my friend whose son just had the sleep study done is Autistic. His sleep issues stem from the Autism and sleep issues are very common in children with Autism.

Aww that is hard to see. I'm glad they were able to get some answers and you don't have to do it again. I hope the 6 weeks goes fast! I can't imagine dealing with that at night and Tristan and being pregnant!
