When you named your children, how hard was it? Did you just know the right name? Did dh/so just agree? Or was it not that easy?

With Ben it wasn't that easy. If had been a girl he'd have been Jillian because I had planned since I was a kid to use that name for a girl. When we found out he was a boy I had no idea what to name him.
For a while he was going to be Ethan. Then for some reason that didn't feel right but we couldn't find something else. It took us a while to pick a first name and even longer to pick a middle name.
I wanted to find names that were good when they were kids but carried over well into adulthood. I wanted names that sounded professional as well.
Jillian was pretty easy to name since I've always had the first name picked out. I came up with the middle name when I was pregnant with Ben so we didn't have to think of names at all when it came to her.

Kayla was instant. As soon as I POAS, I said if it's a girl, she's Kayla Ann. Kayla, I just liked and Ann is mine and my Moms middle name.
Emily was a tiny bit harder. I wanted Emma (HUGE Friends fan) and Jay hated it. So he suggested Emily and I loved it! June was pretty much set in stone because it's his Grandma's name.
Abby was a bit trickier. I loved the name Abby but DH's cousin was pregnant at the same time and also loved the name. I had to wait until she named her daughter before I could officially say Abby. Thank God her DH picked Sydney, because I really had my heart set on Abby. However, I wanted ABBY.. NOT Abigail but DH said it's stupid to name your kid the nickname of a name. :/ Whatever! He won but we ALWAYS call her Abby! Grace was harder, it was just a name I liked. My favorite little girl at the Daycare I had worked at.
I wanted names that sounded nice, classic and not made up. I wanted names they wouldn't have to constantly correct for people, or spell for people and names that flowed with our last name.
ALL of them were named before we even knew they were girls.
Noah James was our boy name.

See, the other 4 came pretty easily. DH and I were pretty agreeable, we had some middle name issues with Courtney and Amber, but dh always caves, which I know he will this time if I want him to, but I don't want him to have to settle for the name I've chosen, when I do like his options, but they aren't what I want...so I feel like maybe we just haven't found the right name yet.

What are you having, Christen? I'm sorry about FB people you're having trouble with. Brayden's name was hard for us, too. The girl's name came pretty quickly, ironically LOL

They aren't facebook people, my MIL is stalking me HERE. Which is why I'm not answering that question HERE. I mean if you want to know something about my life and you happen to be the mother of my husband, you could just call me. She has my number, but the last time I contacted her, I never heard back. Shocking. Or wait, the last TWO times I said something to her she never said anything back. And the time I talked to her before that was in July...when she came to Courtney's birthday party. Wow...nice...

Pretty easy. I made a list of favorites out of the baby books and we talked about each one and narrowed it down, he agreed quickly, there was really only 1 name I was really considering for Dylan's middle name that he was against and I later found out that was because he had a friend who's name that was that had died, so i marked it out and we went to the next one that we both loved!

That was such a mess for us! Quinn was named JR until I was like 7mo pregnant. Then my husband said he though it was old fashioned to name our child after him. We were calling him JR and putting William Whiteside III on his birth certificate.
So then we started from scratch. We had 4 names, and weren't deciding till he was born. They were Landon, Braeden, Quinnton, and Schuyler. We called him Braeden for about a day, and then eventually realized he's definitely a Quinn.

we went on the internet to find popular baby names..the difficult part was having the first name sound good with the middle name..DH is pretty easy so he didnt have a hard time agreeing...We found out later that we named our kids after Britney Spears' boys..ha..

Hi girls! I haven't been on here in such a long time. Thought I'd pop in tonight and read some posts.
We were set on the name Caden for a boy. I have no idea where I heard it first, but I loved it. If he had been a girl, we would have been screwed. There's not many girl names Joel and I could agree on. As for Tanner's name, Joel and I were on vacation (the vacation Tanner was conceived on ), and we saw an extreme sporting event on TV. One of the participants was named Tanner Hall or Tanner Hill. We both turned to one another and agreed that we really liked that name.
