Have any of you put your child in a booster seat in the car yet? I am looking up info on the net saying that they can begin the booster at 4 as long as they are 40 pounds..

Yes I waited as long as I could to convert it but he was just getting too big. He's nearing 50 pounds now! The straps didn't rise anymore and they were below the shoulder. At least in my car, the one we ride in the most, it's a high-back booster. In the truck, it's a low one. He's very good about staying put in them the whole way and we make sure the belt is low on his hips.

Ditto Melissa. For a highback booster in most states kids need to be 3 years and 30 lbs. For a booster without a back it's 4 and 40 lbs. Emily's is a highback but converts to a booster without a back.
I love ours and have had no issues with her in it. I love the ease of switching it from one car to other.

Ben is still in a 5 point harness seat. I plan to keep him that way for as long as I can.

Rock will be switching at 5, or possibly a few days before 5 because of the new baby. The only way to fit us all in the van is to switch him.

I just ran into the stress of determining this. Because Larsson is getting Elenas seat and Elena was getting Ivana's. I wasn't comfortable putting Ivana in a booster yet. So I order a britax frontier 85 that has a 5 point harness and then turns into a booster. I can keep her harnessed much longer. This is what we got. It comes in a lot of colors.

Is the 85 in the name the weight limit? If so, that is very cool.
