Angus (5) got his first 2 rounds of shots but was delayed from there. His 4 month shots left huge hard lumps in his legs that stayed until he was over a year old, I didn't like that, plus hubby was deployed overseas and I just had my hands full, a lot of things got put off. Angus didn't get any more shots until he was about a year and a half. He got his first MMR when he was just over 2 - coincidentally right after the doctor's appointment during which the doctor suggested we have him evaluated for autism. He is almost 5 now so is due for his final round pretty soon.
Sydney (2) was born the week after Gus got his autism diagnosis. I was suddenly apprehensive about getting her immunized because of the speculation about vaccines and autism - I hadn't read much about it, and wanted to do my own research to separate fact from fear before I made a decision. I delayed her vaccines and read a lot - there was so much out there - and talked to doctors - and ultimately concluded that it was safe to vaccinate her, that there was no link between vaccines and autism. We started vaccinating her, separating the shots at first, and she is almost caught up with her age group, and definitely will be before kindergarten.
This next baby (due Feb.14) will be vaccinated on schedule, with the exception of the birth Hep B shot - that can wait until her 2 month appointment.

I delayed with my son for a year until finally getting his first vaccines at his 12 month check-up. We are following the CDC catch-up schedule and will continue to get vaccines on the regular schedule after we get caught up.
