Hmm, I wonder if my pediatrician can order it now and hold it until Daniel is old enough? I know they special order theirs from some pharmacy in Louisiana. Think I'll put in a call to the nurse about it today. Is Merck the ONLY manufacturer of the single vaccines?[/b]
I would get in touch with Wellness Health As you can read from the page I have linked to, in the left-hand column (scroll down) they stock the single dose MMR components - you could ask them how long they anticipate its availability.

Sorry I never acknowledged this post, I did read it and meant to reply but got sidetracked... I spoke with my pediatrician and they said that they are now doing the MMR at 15 months instead of 12 (I could have sworn it was 12 for my oldest, but I'd have to check his record to be sure) and supposedly even if they did order it now and store it until Daniel was old enough, which they don't want to do because they're moving in a couple months and are worried about it being lost or something, it would be expired by that time anyway. I'm going to make some more phone calls and see if I get the same story from everyone about the expiration date as I'm not sure they even bothered to call the pharmacy to check it out. I hope I can still get it... that's so crappy of Merck to stop production on these!
