I'm not for or against vaccinating at this point, I'm still trying to research everything. One thing I'm having trouble finding is reasons that I should give my newborn the Hep B vaccine. All I find is reasons not to. So, can you all help me out and tell me why I should have her get the vaccine? I just want to be armed with as much info as possible before I make my decisions and I figured you guys would be the best people to help!
Thanks!

Here is a PDF about the birth dose of Hep B vaccine http://www.immunize.org/catg.d/p2125.pdf
I declined it - we will get it at 2 months.

They don't give it at birth here.

I think it would also be a good idea to find out your options. Some places may allow you to opt out and get it later. Find out what your options are and go from there. Thats my suggestion.

Thanks for the input. I'm not against the vaccine, it just seems like a lot for her little body, especially when she's not at risk from what I can tell, so I'm thinking maybe when she's a bit older. I still have a couple months, but I want to make sure I know ahead of time!
