Might spoil bits of it..

Basically its about an 11 month old who goes missing, then they find her and she is dead. Turns out she died from ensephalitis caused by measles. They charge the mom of the unvaccinated child who was the original carrier and who got the 11 month old infected in the park. They charged her with negligent homiside for the girls death.

Very complicated situation..

there is more but I don't want to ruin it entirely on you good episode, but extreamly sad

I wonder if a slew of anti-vaxers will pledge to boycott SVU like they said they would Private Practice

Hmm, I will have to watch the episode to have an opinion on the situation. I would say I would agree only if the mom KNEW her child had the measles and took him/her out in public anyways. I would say any person who knowingly exposed others to a dangerous disease, is responsible, whether it's a vax issue or not, kwim?

ETA I just realized you are ahead in time - it's on in about 10-15 minutes here on the West Coast

OK, just saw the episode. I would not have held the mother (of the unvaxed child who went to the park with the measles) responsible - she didn't know he was sick at the time.

I wouldn't have either. It does give people something to think about though. People wont get medical help for their children early enough because they don't know what Measles looks like anymore.

I deffinitly think the verdic was right
