CDC to reinstate booster shots of HiB vaccine | U.S. | Reuters

Quote:
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Thursday it plans to reinstate booster shoots of a vaccine that protects children against bacterial meningitis.

The CDC said in a statement it now believes manufacturers will have enough supply of the vaccine to resume giving a booster shot of HiB (Haemophilus influenza type b) to children aged 12 to 15 months.

Booster shots will resume on July 1.

Now that I think about it, I can't recall my ped making any mention of this when we were going over what's next in the schedule at Daniel's 12 month visit. If I recall correctly, he only mentioned varicella and MMR at 15 months. But then again, my kid was getting antsy by that point so I might not have been paying full attention, heh.
