I've decided to split up some shots...today was Colin's 4 mon appt and I only got him the DTaP, HIB and polio (one shot). I still need to give him the Hep B and the other P one (I think).

My question: if you space shots, how long of a space? 1 week, 2 weeks?

Thanks for the input!!!

Personally I'd go halfway to his next round, so, 1 month later, at 5 months
We delayed Sydney's and then spaced them out, and I waited about a month in between each round. Some of them we couldn't get any sooner than that.

I don't space out vaccines, so I can't answer your question. But I just wanted to say hello & welcome to the board!

My 3yr old son Landan died 23hrs after being diagnosed with Meningococcal Meningitis. It is a potentially vaccine preventable disease. The vaccine isn't on the schedule until 11-12yrs but is approved for use at age 2yrs. Our second son received the vaccine in December 2010 when he was 2yrs old. My son & thousands of other children prove that a vaccine is needed at a younger age.

DH and I are following Dr. Sears' Alternate Schedule (with a pediatrician who supports our decision completely). You should be able to find the schedule online if you Google it (don't recall it off the top of my head, otherwise I'd fill you in on it).
