Do you have any thoughts on it?
No debates, just discussion.

I feel like we really don't know much about it. I personally don't really know everything it entails, just the things that are obvious about it.

What do you think ....

My 3yr old son Landan died 23hrs after being diagnosed with Meningococcal Meningitis. It is a potentially vaccine preventable disease. The vaccine isn't on the schedule until 11-12yrs but is approved for use at age 2yrs. Our second son received the vaccine in December 2010 when he was 2yrs old. My son & thousands of other children prove that a vaccine is needed at a younger age.

I'm happy about certain parts of it, like that insurance companies can't deny you if you have a pre-existing condition and they can't drop you if you get sick--those are things that should have been fixed a LONG time ago, IMO. Right now, I don't want to speculate on how much things will change, just because everything is so new. I think in a few months or in a year, everyone will have a better understanding of what's working and what isn't and hopefully (though I don't have much faith) politicians will see what's not working well and change it. I really hope that people realize that this shouldn't be a be all and end all solution but an on going process. Healthcare will never be perfect, but I think that it should be something that is continually talked about so that it can be as good as it can be.

I'm also happy with certain parts. I think the best thing that could have been done is to make a law stating every insurance company is allowed in every state. Then there would be actual competition. Why they thought that wasn't a good idea, I have no clue. It's like if it wasn't their idea, it wasn't a good idea.

Just stopping in..

I'm glad they protect those with pre-existing conditions.

that's about it.. I dislike the bill and I'm curious to see what is going to happen when it takes effect in 2012. I hope in November, the Republicans take over the
Senete and maybe block funding for the bill.. The U.S.A is so broke right now..
