I want to thank you so much for posting this. This was the only vaccine I was unsure of. (I had planned on getting it...later.) After reading this, I don't think we'll be waiting. Again, thank you for posting. It's really made me feel more at ease with the decision.

I get that there are risks of an infant getting Hep-B, but with both of my boys I waited until their 2 month checkup to get the vaccine and would do the same with any future chilren. My husband and I aren't in the habit of bleeding or spitting on our babies, so even if we unknowingly had it, I'm willing to risk that two month window. I just think that they've been through enough with birth, I'd rather see their bodies stabilize a bit before assaulting their immune systems.

Totally off topic, Crissy I just noticed your new signature and I have to say that he totally reminds me of a little Clark Kent in that picture, lol. Maybe it's the glasses or maybe it's the superhero theme suggesting it to me, but I just thought I'd tell you to watch out if your son sneaks off into any phone booths....
