Hello girls
I was wondering has anyone here delayed the pneumococcus vaccine?
My girl supposed to get it at 2 months but her pedi injected only the one against difteria, tetanus, hib and whooping cough.
We won't be in the country for awhile and i was thinking about delaying this vaccine.

All comments/advices will be greatly appreciated
Thanks for reading

Dr. Sears says that its not one to skip: AskDrSears - The Vaccine Book: Pneumococcal vaccine and disease: Some vaccines are much more important than others.

But the CDC website seems to say that its something that you could get your DD caught up on later: Vaccines: VPD-VAC/Pneumo/In-Short

Since you mentioned being out of the country for a while, you might want to see if pneumococcal disease is prevalent there or not. If you decide to get the vaccine and don't want to go to a doctor appointment for it, you might be able to get the vaccine free at your local health department. Be prepared for a looooooooooong wait though!
