Personally, I am all for chicken pox parties AS LONG AS the parents are responsible and keep their family quarantined during the incubation period, which can be up to 3 weeks; its one thing to choose to expose our own kids, but another to knowingly expose others without their consent. We're actually on an island-wide chicken pox party "alert list" B) ; we got an invite last April, but I didn't want dd exposed at such a young age so we passed. Now I'm on two lists because many of the La Leche League mamas in my chapter are non-vaxers; we're all itching to get this over with (pun intended)!

I don't know if I would take Quinn anytime soon though. His immune system is so screwed up I worry about whether he could handle it.

Alyssa got the chicken pox when she was 20 months. I have NO CLUE where she got it. Nobody I knew or their family had it. She must have picked it up when we were in the stores. She did well with it. I actually posted a post about it. Ditto to sweater cannons, lol, I love the new name.
