Have you heard of the long term government study they are doing? I guess this would be US only. It follows kids from birth to age 21 and tracks their health. They aren't given medication or anything, just tracking their health. I was talking to my mom about it, and wondering if this might finally show a difference in non-vaxed kids. My mom brought up that it also might put you on the radar if you are non-vaxing. I think it starts at birth, so Maddie couldn't be in it anyway.

Anyone have thoughts on it?

No, I haven't heard of it. Is it just starting? I'm big on privacy and find that really disturbing -- how is the government going to get my child's medical records or know what her health is??

Hmmm....I have a hard time with any study LED by the govt. I am not sure I trust their judgment on the study. And then I also think....wow...so in like 30 years from now they MIGHT have a better idea of children health with or without vaccines....LOL....my children will have children by then....Not that I dont think they SHOULD do something like this...just not sure our govt should be leading it....maybe if they would be a supporter but left the leading to an independent consultant...so that it's not swayed....

I have a feeling that if it showed that vaccines are not effective...they'd hide the evidence just like in the past....

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

I'm guessing there are specific checkups you take your child to, and those are the ones that are reported, but I'm not sure.

Here is the link to the site if anyone wants to check it out.
Study Partners

As much as I'd hope this might finally "out" vaccines, I'm sure like Martha said, they'd just cover it up.

TFS the link! I think this study may not be as robust as it should be. It appears that they eventually plan to enroll 100,000 children. I think they could do more. It's not clear how they plan to collect data about the children, but since they are specifically enrolled and the parents are invited into the study, there must be consent. The study was supposed to begin last year but many of the sites are still listed as prospective study sites. The researchers plan on using 79 metropolitan sites and 26 rural sites. Some of the studies will be performed by outside interested parties.
