We have the opportunity to go with DH to Japan this month and Korea in March. I doubt we will be going to Japan as airfare is ridiculous for four people and we just can't swing it with Christmas and our move. I was considering going to Korea though in March. I see that there aren't any required vaccines, but are there any you would do if going there? It would be South Korea, I'm not sure the city yet, but it's for my dh's job with Samsung so we'd be in a hotel/site seeing only for the trip.
I really want my kids to get these experiences and since everything aside from airfare is paid I'd love to jump on the opportunity. I plan to ask the Dr. we see who doesn't vax, but thought I'd ask here first.
Thanks!

I would think if they don't recommend any then you'll be fine. When we went to Mexico, they recommended hep A but we didn't do it, and had no problems. I've never been to Korea, so I have no personal advice. Sounds like an awesome opportunity though!

They recommend the routine childhood vaccines as well as Hep A, Hep B, Typhoid, and Japanese encephalitis. None are required though, I believe the only current required one for travel is yellow fever for South America and some parts of Africa.

I just don't know enough about traveling to a place like Korea to be able to make a decision.

Oh, ok, sorry I misread ya on that one You may want to send a PM to SoImarriedaNerd, not sure on her first name, but I do know that she travels a lot and I don't think she vaccinates at all, so she might be able to give you some advice
