I went back to our homeopathic NP, and this time Maddie went too. We were only supposed to have an hour between the 2 of us, but we spent an hour and a half with her. She checked out Maddie and said she was practically perfect She asked if we were delaying vax's and I said at this point we weren't doing them at all, and she said, ok, you'll just want to file the religious exemption when its time for school. And that was it! Ahhhh....so nice. We are starting her on some fish oil and Vit D.

For me, I got my bloodwork back. Turns out I am highly allergic to shellfish....good thing I don't eat it! And slightly allergic to eggs, peanuts, wheat, milk, and beef. Whew! I told her I was feeling tired all the time, even with exercising and taking vitamins, so she suggested I cut out all of my allergens for a week and see how I feel. So now I am trying to figure out what the heck I can eat.

My Vit D level was 19, and she said she'd been reading that 100 is a good level So she upped me to 10,000 iui of it. I'll be getting the levels checked again in 6 weeks and I'm excited to see if I'm better!

I feel so lucky that our insurance covers this. We just have a $25 copay. EVERYONE should have this option and it just stinks that some people have to pay out of pocket to get good care.

Wow! That sounds like a great visit! Very thorough! I'm very curious to see how you feel after increasing your vit D - I've been thinking about upping my intake but I'm going to wait til J's next visit with our ND to talk to her about that.

That many allergens to cut out is tough! Good luck with figuring out a diet - it's not impossible just tricky! Lots of veggies, rice, beans and chicken/turkey?

Keep us posted on how you are feeling with all the changes!

yay for you!!!!! That is crazy amount of allergens to cut out....it just makes me wonder what they check for...like what PART of milk they test for (as in...processed milk or raw milk...many that are allergic to processed can tolerate raw...my kids are that way...they get eczema from processed milk).....etc.....but anyway...it just makes me want to see the levels...so if it were me I could cut out the one that seems more likely to be the biggest issue...ya know...I wouldn't do a crash diet of all allergens...personally...cause there can be false positives too.....but just start with one at a time....of coarse i might think differently if I were in your shoes!

SO glad you are getting great care and that you are loving the doctor! YAY

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

They were all level 1s except shellfish was 4. She said I should just avoid eating them every day. The only reason she said to cut them out for a week was to see if I had more energy. I won't be cutting them out for good
