Anything exciting? Anything boring LOL?....Do you have anything planned for spring? What is the weather like?

I've been on a mission yesterday and today...my SIL gave me some baby clothes and they had a HORRIBLE amount of build up on them of smelly detergent....it took: 1 hot wash, no soap, 2nd rinse, 2nd hot wash, unscented baby soap, 2nd rinse, 3rd hot wash, no soap, 2nd rinse, 8 hour soak in baking soda water overnight, rinse in warm with second warm rinse to get them SCENT FREE...seriously that is some insane build up! I cannot believe how much it took to get the scent out....(think of all the laundry I could have done in that amount of time LOL)....

Anyway...Other than that I'm supposed to take the kids to a birthday party today....we'll see...there is a winter weather advisory in effect today...ick...Mother Nature didn't get the memo that it's SPRING LOL.....I really want to get some of the house done with my decluttering mission today...but that wont happen most likely...We'll see.

That's about it. Next week is "spring break" for many of the schools around here...not us LOL....we are homeschooling right thru spring break....I want to be done before baby comes....so we are going to continue on.

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Martha - wow! What a process! That baking soda water soak sounds like a great idea - I may have to try that. Someone my husband works with gave us some clothes for Jackson that I can't even touch b/c they are so coated with fabric softener (I'm allergic).

Meredith - good luck on your run! Hope it's nicer weather!!

We planned on doing a lot of cleaning around the house this weekend but Jackson was up all night long last night with post nasal drip. He had 2 one hour stretches but one of them was while he was laying on top of me breathing on my neck and snoring (lol). Tonight is already shaping up to be another long night, so I doubt we'll get much cleaning done tomorrow. I WILL be napping!!

We went to the ND this past week b/c Jackson still is getting constipated, red cheeks, reflux, fussy, and when I do manage to convince him to eat some solid foods he screams in pain for hours that night and passes most of the food whole. So, we are trying a new formula that I make with coconut milk and working on getting him off his reflux meds. So of course he would get sick on top of everything.

The weather here is awful! We had a few amazing days last week (one day it was in the 70's!) and now it's freezing again. Gotta love New England weather.

We got the snow today too. Not too bad on the roads, but I would say at least a few inches in the grass. I hope this is it. I already packed up most of Maddie's winter stuff, and I'm ready for cute little skirts and dresses!

My class is still consuming most of my time, but I'm hoping things settle down over the next few weeks. I have a paper, and teaching presentation, and couple analysis's all due in the next few weeks, so once I'm finished with those, I should be able to relax.

We've got a trip to Detroit mid-April, Florida for a week the end of May, hoping to get a short trip to the lake with DH's family in July and possibly and extended visit with my sisters in Kansas City in August. As well as I volunteered to help plan my high school reunion which will be the end of August. I have a lot to keep my mind off wanting a baby NOW!

I went to the DR this week, and my B12 levels are normal and my Vit D doubled, however it is still only at half the recommended level! I gave into the stool (YUCK!) test for yeast because I am STILL having pain when I nurse, and although I can handle it since I'm only nursing once a day, I have got to get this figured out before the next baby comes. The blood test was negative for yeast, but she said the stool test would tell for sure. Insurance doesn't cover the test, but honestly I think the $150 will be worth it if we can figure it out!

......so I guess that is all thats going on with me. Nothing major

OH Jlynn....HOW EXCITING. That would be fabulous...and congrats on being a SAHM....

Kaite...you sound super busy...you also gotta find a time in there somewhere where we can meet up...your stuff is in

Steph...Hugs to you and Jackson...poor guy!!! Keep us posted on how the new formula goes! Sounds interesting! And ick...about the clothes. Dump em straight into the washing machine and wash them several times....if you have a top loader let it fill and do the baking soda soak...if you have a FL like me...I dumped them in the tub....but I'd try to get SOME out before I tried that if I were you by just washing a couple/few times in just plain hot water.

I can't believe how much it built up. I was just commenting to my mom (who uses softener "only on whites" ) that her whites were the worst thing she could use them on LOL...her towels are TERRIBLY nonabsorbent. LOL. Serioulsy they repel water more than they soak it up....THey dont have that awful smell that is overwhelming like some clothes do at some people's houses...She doesn't seem to care....lol...oh well...*sigh*...

I'm not saying I don't enjoy a fresh smelling stack of laundry....but I use essential oils to accomplish that....These clothes were strong enough before that I could have walked into a room with JUST the baby clothes and I think people could have smelled them....AND they'd been in storage...in a container...in a shed...for a year almost....before they were given to me! LOL...insane!

They are all folded and put away now though ....Olive kept going OOOOOH BAAAAABY and laughing....I dont think she really gets it...but she had fun playing with the clothes and handing them to me to fold! LOL.

Alright...going to bed....I really am SO tired...wish I could sleep decently.

I'm still in school and homeschooling my kids as well as working on building up my Etsy business. It's crazy, but not boring at all lol!

Here in Texas Spring has sprung and we've had some gorgeous weather. My kids were playing in the water yesterday and it was almost 90. I'm loving it! If we were still in Oregon it'd be cold and rainy so I'm really appreciating our weather right now. Next weekend is DH and I's 11 year anniversary and we are planning a trip to South Padre Island for two nights. We have to take the kids since we don't know anyone around here, but I'm super excited to head to the beach.

In May we get our new puppy, a little english bulldog girl, and we are heading to GA to see DH's family for his nieces first birthday. And in June my sister is moving here from Oregon and I'm SUPER excited to see her and my nephews and niece. So this Spring should be a great one!
