Happy Easter everyone! If you celebrate, what did you do? Do you give your kiddos candy or something else?

We did not give Maddie any candy. I put pajamas, a dress, and doodle pad in her basket, and then organic yogurt melts in her eggs. She mostly just wanted to shake the eggs, I probably could have put cheerios in, but I thought I'd let her have a little treat, and boy did she love them!

We went to my parents house for dinner and pretty much just sat around. None of my siblings were in town, and my mom had my grandma over, so we couldn't really do much. Plus our weather has been horrible lately. A tornado hit DH's work Friday night (the STL airport), and luckily he wasn't there (although I think he secretly wishes he had been!) No one was badly injured, but they closed the airport for 2 days. DH went in for a meeting and said the place was just creepy-no lights in the building, but they had music playing. Anyway...that was a bit off subject!

The great thing about today was MIL was out of town, so we didn't have to split our day between two families. I really dislike that part of the holidays and find myself dreading them sometimes.

Sounds like you had a nice Easter. We just did the Easter bunny basket thing. Mona got a little candy, books, a puzzle and a train in her basket. Plus some eggs. She's convinced that Peter Cottontail delivered the basket

HAPPY EASTER TO YOU TOO!!!!

We hide eggs from the bunny but we leave a gift for the kids (from us)....yes...they had candy...but they are all a little older than maddie....at her age Olive didn't get any candy but similar gifts like yours (puffs/yogurt puffs...etc)...Anyway....We didn't get to go to the health food store without the kids in tow to get them anything good for them...so I stuck with chocolate since it's got less additives and color junk in it....they got some candy at church too...but not enough to last more than just Easter day...LOL....

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.
