I was chatting with a friend of mine this last week...she brought up that in the hospital they wouldn't let her leave without getting the Tdap shot.

I said 'well you could have refused'...

she said "no...they MADE me and I COULDN"T leave until I got it"...

I said "it's now law...you could have told them no"...

She brushed it off...but GRRRR....and why? Because of whooping cough...I then let her know that the Whooping cough part of the vaccine just prevents it from being as severe of a sickness for her....but doesn't stop her from spreading it...I HATE that doc/hospitals are leading people to think the vaccine makes them where they can't catch it.

I said "at least without the vaccine if you catch whooping cough you KNOW you have it and know to stay away from small children/babies...but if you have the vaccine you'll think it's a cold and you wont worry too much about it...then you could spread it to the babies without even knowing"....

Another friend of mine was there and she said "well that's stupid"....

Anyway...they are both very vaccine friendly people....so I didn't go deep into my other thoughts on vaccines...it just made me crazy mad that htey are forcing people to get shots like that...telling them they HAVE to get them before they go home with their baby? That is blackmail...even if they didn't SAY those words but led the parent to believe it...my friend truly thought she HAD to get it to go home. grrr

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

That is crazy! I got the Dtap vaccine before I left the hospital with Maddie, not that they forced it, but HIGHLY recommended it. I wasn't so anti-vaccine at the time, plus I was in such blur that I probably would have done it either way.

Now, your friend saying it was stupid, well...yeah, it is...stupid that they vaccinate for it. Ugh, saying something is stupid is such an ignorant/childish response to something! (Not to be badmouthing your friends our anything)

She was saying that it's stupid that they vaccinate for something that can still be spread. So "stupid" that it was so important to the hospital to vax before parents left.

That is such a low for that hospital and others to make ppl feel that they HAVE to get a vax before they can take their baby home. Before we decided on home birth, when I took the hospital tour they let us know it was an option, but at least on the tour, they didn't make it sound mandatory or that they were goin to shove it down your throat, just that it was an option. It's so sickening how vax happy some people are, I truly don't get it.

Oh, ok, sorry I misunderstood, and thought your friend just didn't have anything to say, so she just said it was stupid.
