My kids are 100% vax free! But they go to public school and one to daycare... Scarlet fever went around the daycare.. and my son got it (hes 2)... Some people actually had the nerve to say... thats what you get for not getting his shots... Seriously? People are freaking idiots.. Its caused by strep.. there is no vaccine for that! And to say you are glad my son got sick? Nice.... thats class right there

Wow, some people are idiots. It just amazes me how very little people even know about vaccines. When my sister tells me her girls got their vaccines, half the time she can't even tell me which ones. Seriously?? If people learn about vaccines and choose to do them, cool, but when they just blindly vaccinate their child....that is what drives me nuts!

Exactly this. I would have said something politely about their not being a vaccine for scarlet fever, and if they had actually researched vaccines before they would have known that. What an a s s h o l e. Sorry you have to deal with this mama!

that's awful. I read some responses to a local news story about a baby dying from pertussis- the baby was newborn (too young to even have the first DTaP shot) but people were saying that's what the parents get for not vaccinating. And one jerk decried all non-vaxers, saying their kids are a threat to his health and that from them he might contract deadly pertussis. Complete ignorance and scapegoating. It's shameful, sad, and more than a little bit scary.

Some people are so uneducated it's not even funny. I love just reading how it's those darn un-vaxed kids that brought x disease around... especially when there have been studies showing more VACCINATED children than un-vaxed get said disease. Pure ignorance.

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.
