So my doctor usually just says "you know how I feel about this" but today she decided to railroad me about MEASLES of all things. I told her I wasn't too concerned about my kids getting measles. Big deal. She went on and on about how it could be fatal and causes blindness and encephalopathy. I knew that, but I didn't know the stats. I remember them being pretty slim, even trumped up like the CDC and Canadian equivalent like to do. SO I told her that it still wasn't a concern because IN CANADA, you know... where we live... it's not common for kids to die of measles. She went on and on about how she's seen tons of cases at Sick Kids (a huge children's hospital in Toronto) and that "I'd be surprised about the numbers of encephalitis/blindness/death" Well I looked up the numbers, and according to some stats it's 1/1000 CASES and some cite 1/2000 CASES. Canada has had 327 cases of measles in 8 years. I feel like sending her that info via email and asking her to quantify her comment about Sick Kids cases. What a fear mongering idiot. Rant over.

I swear, doctors are off the deep end about vaccines. The medical community pushes vaccination so hard they don't think with their own minds. Its all a money hungry business to make people think they NEED these vaccines for illnesses that aren't nearly as dangerous as the "cure." Its sad and there are so many children suffering from dangerous vaccines.

I saw your fb post about this. You're much stronger than I am, I couldn't handle a Dr like that!

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.
