Hello all... I recently moved to the state of NY and am finding out that the vax laws here are some of the strictest in the US. Religious exemptions are possible, but I don't know how easy to get.

We are not entirely opposed to vaccinations, but do not feel at all comfortable with MMR in it's triple-shot form.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get single shot MMR? After researching a bit tonight, I've seen people posting that they were able to find naturopaths who could order larger quantities of the single dose.

I'd gladly pay for the larger quantities if it meant I wouldn't have to give me daughter the triple-dose.

On a side note... anyone here in state of NY that does not vax or only partially vaxed? If so, how are you dealing with schools and your children? From what I can tell, they are really strict about insisting on immunization and I'm worried we are going to have to move again. No way am I giving my child HepB (***?) I'm okay with some of the others, but that one, chickenpox, and a few others are absolutely ridiculous.

Thanks for your input, if you have the time.

From what I know about NY vaccination policies it's kind of an "all or none" you can get exemptions if you haven't had ANY but if you've had one they say you have to have them all. I could be wrong but this is what I recall about NY.

I haven't heard anything about the MMR separated doses...I'll have to google it a little when I get a minute and ask around.

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

i doubt they are available in the us.. maybe a private clinic can order them from europe or something?

but yea, i wish you luck with new york laws. when it comes to religion, it is sort of an "all or none" type of deal, unless the religion is against animal and human dna specifically. but other than that, you cant really pick and choose.
