I am really having a hard time with this. DS received all the infant vaccines on schedule until 9 months. After that we stopped because of the reactions he was having. He was lethargic and just laid around for up to a week after his vaccines every time. He wouldn't eat and I had to take a syringe to get pedilyte down him. We said we would get the MMR at 5 but now I am second guessing myself. DH said not to get it, the side effects listed in the Dr. Sears book is not worth it. But I am still torn on it. I guess because of people pressuring us to get it. The NP the kids see is really great about vaccines, she does whatever we decide and never says anything about it due to the kids reactions. With ODD we spaced out the vaccines and she only got one at a time, we went in every 2wks for one. She only received the DTAP, HIB, Prevnar and polio. She reacted to the dtap and prevnar. She hasn't had any shots since 9 months either. We decided to delay until at least 2 with YDD. With all my kids reactions in the past would you decline the MMR, even though he is now 5? We homeschool so no worrying about exemptions.

I would skip it as well. Then again I skip them all. I don't like any vaccine.

Kudos to you for home schooling. I am going to do the same for my son.
