I emailed back and forth with the local homeopath and she did not answer a lot of my questions, especially the one about cost, which i asked three times. I am contemplating finding the nosodes online and doing it myself. I will search a little more for another local person.

Wow thanks for this post. You really got me thinking. I am going to do my own research in my area and see what kind of resources we have here.

I haven't gotten her tested yet because I don't think it's necessary at this point. (Also, I don't feel that a titer test is reflective of whether or not a person will get a disease. I came across information (somewhere posted in this subforum) about how titer tests don't work.)

^^ I was thinking more for passing a titer to get out of having to fill out all the paperwork for getting out of school vaccines.

I was along that same thinking but I don't honestly know if they will accept a titer test result.

I know here they don't accept titers at least last I knew....

That could be different now I suppose. I had to have a note from my Dr's office regarding diseases I had already had... (Michigan)

My personal opinion is it doesn't but I can't back that up. My guess is whether or not people vaccinate, or get a full blown case of a disease, they still get some exposure, raising their titer levels. Becky was just telling me about an unvaccinated person titer results compared to a full vaccinated person's titer levels and there only being 20% difference.

I'm glad this got bumped. I just found a holistic medicine clinic in Clearwater (that's about 45 minutes to an hour away from here-just as far as our doctor's office). I called and left a message. We'll see if he calls me back! I don't know if they do them, but it's someplace to start...

I don't know about where everyone else lives, but my doctor's office told me how to go to the health department to file the necessary paperwork for unvaccinated children to get into school. I haven't done it yet; I have time. It's just my little ones that aren't. I am also discontinuing with my big girls, so I'll have to go ahead and add them to the list, but they're currently up to date (until 7th grade).

How expensive is this??

and... I just found a cool website too.

It talks about homeopathic immunizations a little ways down...

I found the initial visit to the homeopath to be pricey but I do get great help and support from them on the phone too. Once the initial visit is done, I found it to be on par with my massages, and chiropractic visits. We do have some insurance through dh's work to help. I hope you can too.

BTW, I love the raw food videos!

Will insurance pay for homeopathic medicine? We have really good insurance if so...

well, pooh. I just checked our policy, and they do not cover natural medicine. ugh.

Our coverage doesn't cover homeopathic remedies but give us a max amount every year that we can spend on "alternative" medicines. Homeopathic visits falls under that umbrella.
