So my husband had a vasectomy almost two yrs ago, but we are now considering a reversal to try for a girl. I know that we have to be prepared that it could be another boy (whom we would love dearly)but I was just wondering if anyone was in this boat????? Are boys ages are 8, 6, 3 and 2 and I am 37 yrs old. Anyhow, thoughts would be great.
I have 3 girls...8, 6, and 4. We are pg with #4. We don't find out what are babies are until they come out! If you really want another child go for it....if you are doing it to get a girl...don't. That's just my opinion.....

I'm not in the same boat but I do get the girl thing. I have a 8 year old boy and another boy on the way, I am closing in on 40 in the next few days. I wanted to have a second chance at the mother daughter relationship being I lost my mom ten years ago. So now I am hoping for a grandaughter down the road. I just need to stay healthy and fit to be around for it because this baby in my belly is the last one for us.
My S/O and I all together have 4 boys.. ages 17 1/2, 14, 12 1/2 and 12 1/2... we found out we are pregnant in April. It's boy #5!!! We wanted a girl soo bad, but the whole idea of having a new baby any way is exciting!
If you'll be thrilled either way, i'd go for it. If you think you'll be the least bit disappointed - read all the information you can on how to concieve a certain sex and look at your chinese calendar..lol. We were surprised this time around and did not get to go by all the suggestions..
I know that Dr. Phil had a vasectomy reversal for his second son. LOL I know that's not any help at all, just an interesting fact. But, since you said that you woud love dearly any baby you had, I say go for it. You should do some research on the "Shettles Method" before you start trying to increase your odds of having a girl. You don't want to have sex exactly on the day of ovulation, because (according to the Shettles Method) you most likely will have a boy. I think that if you want a girl, you want to have sex a few days beforeyou ovulate. So, you should probablly start charting your cycles/temps/cervical mucous now so that you can know exactly when you ovulate. My son was conceived on the day I ovulated, so who knows, maybe it worked!
