I am 34. Will be 35 in Dec. I have 4 kids already. My husband does not seem to mind one way or another. He just keeps saying got to keep making money. Have I lost my mind. When did I get pregnant?! Any advice on staying sane will be appreciated. Do you all think I can handle another.

Do you think you can handle another? What is your situation? Was this baby planned or no?

I have 3 "grown" boys and pregnant with #4 at the age of 42 and totally psyched about it! I am jumping around like a teenager with excitement.

You seem to have reservations. (((hugs))) I am sorry you are feeling this way.

Sorry you are feeling overwhelmed!
Can you handle it? That can only be answered by you only. I'm 40 had my first at 39 and expecting this one right before my 41st birthday. And couldn't be happier!

And Welcome!!!

We are basically a happy regular family most days. We have lots of fun and do everything we can for our kids. I am excited one minute and then all the "if's" the next minute. I can handle a 5th. I just do not want people to think I am crazy I guess.

I'm with you on the "what ifs"! DH and I have only really been trying for 6 months or so, and before that, it was never in either of our plans. So its been a huge adjusment for me, I"m still adjusting, actually...to what my life will be like.

I just keep repeating my life motto...everything happens for a reason, and for a purpose. That keeps me sane and keeps the "what ifs" out of the picture for a little while.

That's what I tell myself. It must be for a reason!

I gave up on people thinking I'm crazy. We are only expecting #2, but because I'm 40 there are a lot of people who think I am crazy. But I'm a young 40, I see other women my age acting like they are one step from a retirement home.

There are a lot of large families here on JM. It helps to have moral support, so you might want to seek them out. Good luck!

Between DH and I we have 4 girls and now we are pg with our first together and so excited and really really hoping its a boy this time! I turned 40 in Jan and will deliver in December, less than a month shy of my 41st. Our babies are going to keep us young for years to come!!!!!

I am not over 40 in my heart!!!! You'll do great and think how relaxed you'll be, knowing what to do!

I completely agree with everyone..We have 4 and trying for a fifth. And i just turned 39 and I forget it.(if i do say so myself i dont look 39 or feel it) .I have some friends whose kids are half the age of mine, or some who think because their kids are teens that their job is almost done and how dare i start over?

According to them mind you they are divorced and dating. We are almost 40 and should be well established in our careers..I on the other hand have been married to the same wonderful man for almost 20 years and who the heck cares if we want another its our lives.. What i love is when people are shocked that all 4 kids have the same father..lol

steph mom to 4 ages ranging 4-14
